Trauma Bond or Soul Tie
Updated: Aug 22
Which one are you suffering from?
We’ve all had an unhealthy relationship or attraction to someone who didn’t give a damn if we ever moved on or let go. Some of those incidents ended with each party hating the other and some developed a dangerous closeness that could be deadly.
Let’s break both down:
A “soul tie” relates to Sex being a tridimensional experience: spirit, soul, and body. Anytime you have sex with a person you bond with them. A “soul tie” indicates the consequence of two “spiritually plains” forging a like journey with like essence of character. This shouldn’t imply a distinct relationship built on love. It could be an exchange between a narcissist and a co dependent or more.
A trauma bond is the torturous relationship between a narcissist and an individual who become enmeshed in a love/hate relationship throughout the stages of love bombing to discard. A trauma bond is the torturous relationship between a narcissist and an individual who become enmeshed in a love/hate relationship throughout the stages of love bombing to discard. A continuous quest for power and control. More deeply structured only in such matters. The cycle of abuse escalates in a predictable manner constantly leading to the final stage of the cycle wherein both parties are satisfied. The abuser has released their vengeance for power and control in demeaning the other and the victim becomes the martyr believing that their sacrifice will be revered.
Now that you’ve defined both, which type of union have you found yourself in?
